The Checklists are descriptive documents of the species that are part of a concrete taxonomic group or a group of species that are part of an specific analysis. These documents have a structure that includes a list of the authors, a description of the taxonomic group or subject, and a list of the species that are part of the list. The checklists aren't updated regularly, since they require revisions from groups of authors before their publication. A complete set of a checklist include a pdf document and a table in CSV format.
Botanical Gardens have produced for a long time annual seed lists for exchange. In some European ones of the 19th century it was customary to include diagnoses, descriptions, and notes either in footnotes or in appendices. These lists were printed in a very limited edition and past issues generally were not kept. None of the old and large libraries in the world has a complete set of them, and the collections that they do have are usually incomplete.
